Charge Point Grants

The UK government offers a range of Charge Point Grants to homes and businesses.

Here at Wooldale Renewables we are approved government EV installers for the office for Zero Emissions vehicles (OZEV). 

The grant schemes and how to apply for them are explained below, but please feel free to contact us if you have any questions.

Grants for your home

Electric vehicle chargepoint grant for renters and flat owners

This grant provides up to 75% off the cost to buy and install a chargepoint at your property, up to a maximum of £500.

You can apply for this grant if you either:

• Own and live in a flat

• Rent and live in any residential property

• You must have private off street parking

This grant has been extended until 31 March 2027.

Electric vehicle chargepoint grant for households with on-street parking

This grant provides EV drivers with support towards the cost of installing EV chargepoints at residential properties if they are also installing a cross-pavement charging solution (e.g. a cable channel). You can get 75% off the cost up to a maximum of £500.

You can apply for this grant if you either:

• Have not already installed your chargepoint

• Own or rent a residential property in which you live

• Will install a cross-pavement charging solution

• Do not have access to off-street parking

• Have adequate on-street parking

• Have permission from your local Highways Authority

• Own an eligible vehicle

This grant has been extended until 31 March 2027.

Electric vehicle chargepoint grant for residential landlords

Landlords can apply for chargepoint grants of up to 75% off the cost of installing chargepoints up to a maximum of £500 per socket. Each year you can get up to:

• 200 grants for residential properties such as flats and houses 

• £500 per chargepoint installed

This grant has been extended until 31 March 2027.

Grants for businesses, workplaces and landlords

Workplace Charging Scheme.

This grant provides up to £500 per socket towards the cost of installing chargepoints at workplaces. You can apply for grants for up to 40 sockets across all your sites.

It is open to eligible:

• Businesses

• Charities

• Public Sector Organisations

This grant has been extended until 31 March 2027.

Grants for education establishments

Workplace Charging Scheme for state-funded education institutions.

State-funded schools and education institutions can apply for grants of up to £2,000 per chargepoint socket.  

You can apply for grants for up to 40 sockets across all your sites.

This grant has been extended until 31 March 2027.

Electric Vehicle Chargepoint Installers West Yorkshire

Electric Car Grant and other vehicle grants

Some types of low emission vehicles are eligible for a government grant. The seller includes the grant as a discount in the purchase price, so you do not need to apply for it.
